I appreciated the reminder that I don’t have to be productive. Same boat. Sent out 8 queries 4 weeks ago and the waiting is like having constant tinnitus. I know it’s part of the process, I expected it. But still hard not to feel you handed some distant folks the power to decide your self worth. I hope when you get an agent you brag a lot so we can all enjoy with you.
Congrats on entering your querying journey! Totally get what you mean. But what helps me is remembering that it comes down to the right agent at the right time. My novel wont be for everyone but that doesn’t mean it’s “bad” or that Im not interesting enough or any of those things that come to mind when we attach our worth to our art. I hope you brag a lot too when you get your “yes!” 🤘🏼😃
